DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING

LAB FACILITIES>

      Civil Engineering is interested in the big picture. In their designs, Civil Engineers must consider potential environmental hazards, construction costs and government regulations that can affect their creations. Our educational programme reflects this amply. Diploma in Civil Engineering encompasses the full spectrum from structures through geometrics and earthquake to transport while continuing to provide a sound understanding of basic Civil Engineering principles.

 VISION:

                To carry on the heritage and pave way for the future, to establish a new culture for society and nurture spirit and talent.

MISSION:

        To develop and disseminate effectively the technical information aimed at improving the infrastructure and environmental well-being of their society. The Programme aims to provide a well-rounded and superior engineering education that produce talented Engineers and creative engineers.

Department Goal

  • We aim our academic performance result 100% and state level marks.
  • Our target for campus interview placement 100%
  • We planned to conduct four association programs.
  • We planned to organize two industrial visits and one In-Plant Training for practical knowledge of the students.

OBJECTIVES:

  • To produce Engineers who have a strong foundation of scientific and technical knowledge and are equipped with problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills that will serve them throughout their career;

  • To produce Engineers who have the ability to pursue careers as practicing civil engineers;

  • To produce Engineers who have the ability to pursue advanced studies in all the grids of Civil Engineering.

  • To produce Engineers who have the ability to assume professional leadership roles.

  • To produce with skills and qualifications for careers outside the traditional focus areas of Civil Engineering.

 

 Laboratories:

        Special equipments like Universal Testing Machine, Compression Testing Machine, Torsion Testing Machine, Total Station, Direct Shear Apparatus, and Aggregate testing machines are available for experimentation.

  • The Department has the following well equipment laboratories to cater to the Board curriculum and modern technological development.

Placement

      The Department of Civil Engineering helps its students to have enriched knowledge in all spheres of civil field and the classes such as Technical Refreshment and Technical Seminar help in elevating the knowledge about building process. The department gives all its support in different fields like CAD, MS project software training by arranging external sources and certifying agencies. Continuous efforts, we have successfully placed our students in TNC, SSN, TNPL, ASB, SHOBA developers, etc.,
